WHAT MAKES A HOME

A large armchair for comfort made,
Soft carpet on the floor,
A blazing log fire in the hearth,
Now what does home need more?
Glowing candles for their shimmering
Adds a softer light
And the shadows of their flickering
Adds magic to the night.
Music playing very softly,
The gentle soothing kind,
A Chopin nocturne or a prelude,
That will surely ease the mind
Of all the troubles that have been,
The problems of the day,
The many things that went not well,
Will surely melt away,
But no, there's something missing still,
An important person too,
Without whom no day or night's complete,
The dearest person - YOU.
