VERSES OF SYMPATHY
As roses gently fall,
After the Summer sun,
They're etched upon our minds,
Each petal, every one,
Their beauty we recall,
Their colour's with us still,
They leave within our hearts
A place that none can fill.
There'll always be the unseen hands,
Above us and below,
To hold us in the darkest days
And then, to let us know
That we are never asked to bear
Sorrow on our own,
For loving hands will comfort us,
So we'll not feel alone.
The Faith, in knowing that you're not
Alone in times of sorrow,
The knowledge that He'll give you strength
To face each new tomorrow,
These things will help you through the dark,
With strength and courage too
And you'll find comfort, knowing that
His love will help you through.
God does not promise that life will be
Sunshine all the way,
But he'll ease your heavy heart
On the very darkest day,
We know that life contains it's part
Of sunshine and of showers,
But he will give comfort and strength
In all the darkest hours.
