The frustrations of our daily life
Can be decreased in every way,
If we put our trust in Him,
By giving Him our day,
To tell Him, "Lord, this day is yours,
I'll do my utmost too
To live each hour as You would wish
And put my trust in you."
Of each private thought and feeling
He always is aware
And if only we will turn to Him,
He lovingly will share
Our special joy or sadness,
And He always knows the way
To lessen tribulations
And put sunshine in every day,
But as with any loving father,
We too must do our part,
By giving Him our complete trust
And opening up our heart,
He will brighten all our dark days
And open up our eyes
To the beauty all around us,
And make us realise
That we never need feel lonely,
Or neglected, or afraid
He is always there to guide us
And to minister to our aid,
But as a loving Father
He likes to know we care,
So we must "give" as well as ask,
When we speak to Him in prayer.
