TORY LAND
Oh! to be a pensioner,
In an unfair Tory land.
Life gets harder every day
And they’ll never understand.
What it’s like to feel the cold,
Or go without a meal.
They live in another world,
They don’t know how it feels.
To count each penny everyday,
To pay for this and that.
Food, rent and council tax,
Heat and light plus Vat.
Buying second hand clothes,
The cheapest food and drink.
While they live in a champagne world,
It really makes you stop and think.
What have we done to deserve this?
Where did it all go wrong?
The neglect of us pensioners,
Has lasted far too long.
