SYMPATHY
Knowing your heart is filled with pain,
It's difficult to find
Soothing words of comfort, that
Will ease your troubled mind,
One thing's sure, the clouds will pass,
As night will follow day
And he will give you strength and help;
All along the way.
Eventually the pain will pass,
Happy memories will remain,
Although you do not think so now,
You'll learn to smile again,
For dark clouds do not stay for long,
Love drives them fast away
And sunshine will break through the clouds,
To brighten every day.
Autumn leaves each year will fall,
But after resting on the ground,
Very soon upon the tree
New shoots will be found,
So it is with all of life,
What falls, is then reborn
And after sadness, surely comes
A bright and golden morn.
Clouds may sometimes hide the sky,
But behind them, still there's blue,
Though sadly now, your days are dark,
With all you're going through,
Very soon you'll be aware
Of a brighter sky in view
And though your loss will still be great,
There will be comfort too.
