SELFWILL

I went to see mi doctor cos I felt upset and sick,
He took one look at mi and sed “tha gerrin old and nostalgic”.
I sed “is it contagious and how long will it last?”
Mi doctor sed, “tek mi advice stop livin in’t past”.
“I think tha tryin to tell mi I’m past mi sell by date”,
Of course I’m not mi doctor sed, “in fact tha lookin great.
There’s now’t that I can githee no medicine or pill,
Nostalgia’s known to last for years, It’s up to thy self-will”.
I couldn’t understand these words wot mi doctor had sed,
First of all mi names not Will, It’s always bin Alfred.
It’s the only name I’ve had from birth I’ve never had another,
That silly doctors got it wrong cos Wills mi elder brother.
So I went straight up to see our Will, I had to do it quick,
To tell him wot mi doctor had sed and that he wos nostalgic.
“If that’s the case” our Will replied, “how long shall I be ill?”
I told him wot me doctor sed, “It’s up to thy self-Will”.
