R.I.P. Babby Dog!

Oh, but it’s hard to get over,
Losing one who was dear,
The pain, knowing now they’re gone,
When they were forever so near.
He was my lovely four legged friend,
And  truer one there never was,
It will take time for my heart to mend,
It may take forever because,
he was my faithful little “Lucky Duke”
I had his trust and love fifteen years,
A little girl once said, “Is his name Luke?”
I remember this through all my tears.
I remember a funny thing,
Like a little pixie, with big folded ears,
When he was pup, all the songs I’d sing,
For him over so many years,
He’s gone now but one thing you can bet,
And of this you can have no fears,
My dear little “Lucky Duke”,
I’ll never ever forget!
