It was only a matter of time that someday soon,
There would be an end to the economic boom.
Bankers blamed for irresponsible lending,
While Governments been recklessly spending.
Politicians from all parties have failed to react,
Yet no one at fault has yet been sacked.
Years of growth and prosperity have come to a halt,
And no-one wants to admit that it’s their fault.
Bankers and the Rich have been bleeding us dry,
Leaving us with huge debts till the day we die.
These desperate times are hard for those in need,
While the Rich and Famous live a life of greed.
The income gap is widening between rich and poor,
The innocent, working classes deserve better and more.
But Politicians don’t care and show no compassion,
For allowing the economy to sink into a recession.
