When you have wiped away the tears
That you will shed for me.
Remember this my children
I’ve always loved you endlessly.
It’s been a joy to watch you grow
Through all your childhood years.
I’ve been so proud to be your Dad
Along with all my hopes and fears.
So don’t cry too long my children
Because when all is said and done.
The world keeps going round and round
And life as we know it must carry on.
When my life finally comes to an end
I know you’ll be feeling sad.
Promise me you’ll all be friends.
