POLITICIANS
What do they spend our taxes on?
Those faceless men in power.
They seem to do just what they like
While life for us turns sour.
Most pensioners are insecure
And live in constant dread.
Avoiding harm, keeping warm,
And buying their daily bread.
Police are fighting tooth and nail
To protect us from the trash.
Who fill our daily lives with fear
In search of easy cash.
Our roads resemble farmer’s fields
Newly ploughed in spring.
On them our cars bounce up and down
Like yo-yos on a string.
But when it comes to tanks and guns
Large battleships and planes.
Moneys never in short supply
For blowing out peoples brains.
And as for that “Millennium Dome”
It’s a complete waste of cash,
I would turn it upside down to make a dish
And make a giant corn beef hash.
To feed those poor sad refugees
From war torn countries like Kosovo,
That’s how those faceless men in power,
Should spend our hard earnt dough.
