OUTSIDE THE FLORISTS

They are not tall and stately,
Or even very rare,
But the variety of colours
Just makes me stop and stare,
From palest cream to golden,
These are innocent I feel,
Their shade is reminiscent
Of a baby's wide appeal,
Their purple shades, so regal,
Like rich velvet they appear,
Or the perky little rust one,
Announcing Spring is here!
The pink, I feel are happy
And the red, a precious stone,
Such a truly glowing picture,
Grouped together, or alone,
I'm sure you've guessed already,
That this variety of hues,
Is the small but lovely Primula,
Now! Which colour shall I choose?
