MUMMIES AND DADDIES
Proud Egypt’s a land full of Mummies
But where have all the Daddies all gone?
They’re out in the desert building pyramids,
In this land of sand and sweltering hot sun.
Now the pyramids were built with tough sandstone,
Tombs built for the daddies who had died.
Their bodies were wrapped up in bandages,
That’s how they became all mummified.
Lots of Daddies became famous Mummies,
Like Rameses and Tutankhamun.
At rest in their Tombs for thousands of years,
In this land of sand and hot sun.
Now! Not only Dads became Mummies,
Some famous Mums were Mummies too.
Queen Cleopatra and Nefertiti,
Plus many more I can’t name to you.
Now Egypt in the years B.C and A.D,
Was a country full of sculptors and scribes.
Ruled by Pharaohs the kings of the desert,
Who in the end! All became mummified.
