MISS MUFFITS BIRTHDAY
Tomorrow is little Miss Muffits birthday
And she’s decided to have a big spree.
So she sent invitations to friends and relations,
Hoping they’d all come to tea.
But the spider was sorry that he couldn’t come
And he hoped she would not be offended.
His four pairs of shoes had got holes in their soles
And he’d sent them away to be mended.
So she invited Jack and she invited Jill,
Postman Pat and his little black cat.
Red Riding Hood and the Babes In The Wood
And Mr and Mrs Jack Spratt.
She told Cinderella to bring her young fella,
But she didn’t want her sisters to come.
She asked Little Boy Blue and Jack Horner too
And she also invited Tom Thumb.
What an array when they turned up next day,
All with presents for little Miss Muffit.
But her friend the spider was not there beside her,
So she sat down and cried all alone on her Tuffit.
