MINER’S GRUB
We went for a meal thi other nite
Home made steak and kidney pie.
Wi chips and peas plus gravy
For two pounds fifty and that’s no lie.
It was up at Miners Arms our local pub
And the service was first class.
“I couldn’t a made it better mi sen”
To me said our owd lass.
And that my friend is praise indeed
Cos she makes a mean owd pie.
But I wouldn’t say same, for her chips and peas
If I did, I’d be telling a lie.
So take my tip you diners
Get off up to Miners Arm pub.
It will not cost thi an arm and a leg
And it will do thi world a good.
