IN LOVING MEMORY
How can we be sad when we think of this man,
Who exuded such love, every day?
All life was a joy and a blessing, he felt,
To be lived in a positive way,
His character was one, of quiet, gentle strength,
To whom the simplest of things gave delight,
The beauty of nature, especially the sea,
Were all joys to behold in his sight,
All manner of men, in all walks of life,
Looked on him with affectionate esteem,
The welfare of children and neighbourly love,
Were all part of this caring man's dream,
His faith never swerved, throughout his long life,
Such a perfect example to all,
Each one of us, learned something special from him,
Whom the Lord has now thought fit to call.
