HOW I FEEL
(For my son)
My son makes me want to weep,
I see him walking all alone, so forlorn, so empty,
He looks scared and unsure, I don’t know what to do,
What would I do, if only I were you.
He won’t speak to me, well not at length,
He’s so quiet, so distant , he’s torn apart,
I wish I could give him strength.
I see him in the street, I want to take his hand,
I want to walk beside him, like footprints in the sand.
Maybe when another tomorrow comes all will be well,
But like they say, tomorrow never comes,
Only I pray that time will tell.
