FREEDOM
We were cell mates until they opened the gates
we used to sit and stare through the wire
watching the birds and wild rabbits
I wish we could follow our old habits
instead we are in this wire cage
we don’t even obtain a wage
what have we done to deserve this life?
Nothing it is just the way of life
Then one day a lovely couple arrive
to see us in this lonely dive
it is then we come to part
as I have to depart
on my new way of life
I love being here with this lovely husband and wife
I miss you sweet cell mate
and one day we will have to make a date
when we can meet up again together
and undo the tethers
