ELECTION 97
Last night a knock came at my door
And when I went to answer it,
An election canvasser stood there
Spouting a load of lies and bullshit.
He said we’ve done a first class job
I answered “Yes and pigs might fly”
And when he asked me for my vote
I said, “I’d sooner die”.
Your party’s ruined our Health Service
Our buses, trains and power
They’ve put VAT on this and that
And turned our country sour.
So don’t stand there and say to me
You’ve made Great Britain tick,
Be off! Before I clock you one,
With my trusty walking stick.
Your party’s full of sleaze and lies
And Politicians we cannot trust.
The time has come for you to go
Before our beloved country goes bust.
