DREADED “C”
Remember me as I used to be,
A very strong and healthy man.
Don’t believe what your eyes see
For I’m not a citizen from Japan.
Now I’m jaundiced up to the eyeballs
Like a springtime daffodil
My bodies been invaded
And I’m feeling very ill.
For I have got the dreaded ‘C’
And time is not on my side.
Even though I’m not afraid to die
I must admit I’ve broke down and cried.
‘O’ yes I’ve cried a sea of tears
And wallowed in self-pity.
But fate will have the final say
And sometimes it’s not pretty.
