COWARDICE

I’ve never had much courage,
Since the first day I drew breath.
Spiders, mice, and beetles
Scare me to ruddy death.
I shake with fear each time I see,
A spider as it runs wild.
When a tiny mouse crosses my path,
I scream out like a little child.
When I see a crawling beetle,
I shake and tremble like a fool.
For the only beetles that I like,
Are those lads from Liverpool.
When I see a sudden flash of lightning,
And I hear the thunder roll and crack.
My mouth goes dry and my hair stands up
And I have another panic attack.
