BE THANKFUL

Full of self pity,
Feeling miserable and sad,
Because you think life
Has treated you bad.

Always looking to others
Trying to compare,
I want what they’ve got
It just isn’t fair.

You should look deeper
Inside your own heart
Your own self pity
Will tear you apart.

You get out of life
What you put in
Don’t run away and hide
Take it on the chin.

So many would swap places
To be in your shoes
So don’t sit around
All day with the blues.
