BEAUTY
Handsome! Is as handsome does,
A wise old man once said.
And beauty is only skin deep,
As it is all within ones head.
And had I never seen a girl,
As beautiful as you.
Your sparkling eyes reminded me,
Of the sun kissed morning dew.
Your lips were like the petals,
Of the red roses in bloom.
The sunshine of your kindly smile,
Shone through the winter’s gloom.
Now this beauty’s gone from me,
Lost in a vale of tears.
All that is left are the memories
Of our magical married years.
