A PRAYER FOR CHRISTMAS
Please help me spread my Christmas gifts
To those who are in need,
Who I can help in some small way,
By prayer, or word, or deed,
Help me to share my bounteous fare
Whatever it may be,
With all my brothers near or far,
Who're less fortunate than me,
My table's filled with food and wine,
When there are little souls,
Whose idea of Christmas happiness,
Is rice within their bowls,
I share a joyful Christmas
Within a family home,
Yet there are those, less fortunate,
Who'll spend the time alone,
There will be warmth within this home
And no one will feel the cold,
So help us spare more than a thought
For the weak, the sick, the old,
My heart and hand desire to give,
Please show me Lord, the way
That I can make for just one soul,
A happier Christmas Day.
