AN OCEAN BUBBLE

I am but a tiny bubble,
Living in the deep blue sea,
I am so deep here in the darkness,
 This has always imprisoned me.
They say water creates rainbows,
With the sunlight and the air,
I am just a tiny silver bubble,
So why should I care?
But the sea gently squeezes me,
 Giving me my release,
And I rise upward, faster, faster,
 To reach everlasting peace.
Up through the blackness of the deep,
 From bedrock where I came,
Higher and faster, expanding steadily,
 No more a waiting game.
Bursting through my watery cage,
 I see green, sea-green rays,
Then I see blue-green, then light blue,
Where I will spend my endless days.
Readily I pop! As the air I greet,
Destiny has brought me here,
Where finally my life is to dissolve,
To unite with the atmosphere.
