A ROSE

From a seed i did spawn,
Nourished with water from dusk until dawn.
My roots were set and from there i did grow,
Protruding through the soil, the life in me i did show.
My stem grew bigger and out sprung a leaf,
A stepping-stone it was, to show me that my younger days were brief.
The sun shone and a rose bud appeared,
It would not open, which to you seemed weird.
Stopped from its destiny to bloom,
I grew my stem even thicker and took over from doom.
The sun still shines to help my rose sprout,
And mum i know that you will be with me shining all the way, without a doubt
.
