Welcome to Poetry 4 Charity, a poetry website dedicated to helping and raising funds for UK Charities. Please Help and Support a UK Charity by Donating Funds or Submitting your own Poetry.
Poetry 4 Charity has been published in memory of my father Mr Alfred Weston (picture right) who sadly died of Cancer at the age of 77 in March 2003, at the Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield. Over 125 poems listed on this website were composed by him during his retirement and his dream was to see his poetry published into a book for everyone to read. I decided to partly fulfil some of my fathers wishes by publishing his poetry onto the Internet. With the help of his poems and poetry contributions from other Poets, my aim is to raise funds for our Listed Charitieswhich include: Cancer Research UK, MacMillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie, Youth Cancer Trust, BBC Children in Need, Oxfam, Arthritis Research, Diabetes UK, British Heart Foundation, Huntingtons Disease Association, Fibromyalgia Association UK, RSPCA, Friends of The Earth, Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity and many more. My fathers poetry is quite varied and reflects a lot about his life and his personality. He wrote over 125 poems, plus a story about his birth place Dronfield, covering the happy and sad years of his life, plus a number of poems written for children. To make a donation you can send a cheque payable to your charity or pay safely and securely online using your credit card via our Just Giving links. Please recommend www.mypoetry4u.co.uk to all your friends and family and get them to help one of our listed charities. Yours Sincerely Alan Weston
